Last year we learned about Reeves-Reed Arboretum and all the activities they host year round with a family membership. My favorite event is Daffodil Day so when they announced the date this year I marked the calendar and made sure we were in town for this afternoon of fun.

Reeves Reed Arboretum Daffodil Day 2015
The Arboretum is beautiful year round, but there’s something about seeing the bowl filled with daffodils that just makes me smile. The kids running through the trails, the sun shining, eating lunch on the grass and spending time as a family makes this place and day so special.

This year Mike’s Mom was in town so she got to enjoy the day with everyone. It’s really perfect for everyone, and the photo ops are amazing!

Reeves Reed Daffodil Day activites
The activities are always spot on. They make a point to teach the kids about animals, nature and throw in some fun. Eleanor loved making her crazy face cup and then filling it with soil and seeds. Camden’s favorite was the flower toss and he did a great job. Eleanor really liked the game “Are you My Mother” where she had to match pictures of animals. They also had a music area set up, crafts and a few other fun things.

Reeves Reed Daffodil Day Family pictureIt was a wonderful day and once I know next years date I’ll mark it on the calendar. Being a member of Reeves-Reed has allowed us to do and learn so much. We won’t be able to make the Camp Out this year (Members sign up starts May 1), but we’re excited about some other fun events they have coming up in the future.

Will I see you around the Arboretum or are you a member of your local one?

Disclosure: I received press passes to attend the event. As always all opinions are my own.
