32 weeks

Yesterday on the train ride into work I had a moment of “Oh My God” I’m having a baby THIS year and it could arrive in the next 4-10 weeks.

I turned to Mike and started to have a mini freak out, I don’t have any diapers for this baby, it’s going to be February and I don’t have a baby bunting for a newborn or 0-3 months.  I have all the big stuff, car seat, stroller, swing, bouncer ect, but Eleanor was born in early April and there was no need for “warm” clothes.  We brought her home on a sunny warm 73 degree day.  This baby will not be that lucky.

So a quick visit to Amazon to order some newborn diapers and a call to my mom asking her to pick up a baby bunting for newborn and 0-3 months (I literally saw an entire row of them at the Once Upon a Child store last week and didn’t think anything of it) and I’m feeling a little better about Baby P2 arriving.

I really feel like this pregnancy has, in a way, crept up on me.  With taking care of Eleanor, enjoying the holidays and visiting with family and friends I sometimes would “forget” I’m even expecting.  Minus the early months with morning sickness and a little nausea here and there (for some reason no matter what toothpaste I choose it just makes me feel sick) I have had a very great pregnancy.

So for the next 4-10 weeks I’m going to try and focus a little more on the arrival of Baby P2 and get ready for what will be a life/family changing roller coaster ride.  I love being a family of 3, but can’t wait to be a family of 4 and meet the newest addition.  So until P2 decides to make an appearance I’m going to work at doing something for their arrival as much as I can, even if it is just trying to figure out what we should name them!!
