I often times get asked from friends if I have any tips for taking kids to Blue Man Group. Since I recently took Eleanor I thought I would share my tips for taking kids.

Tips for Blue Man Group
1. Prepare them
With so many things available on youtube I suggest showing the kids some clips. Understanding that it’s a person helps prepare your child for the experience and hopefully making sure they aren’t afraid of them.
2. Ask for a booster seat and ear protection
All the cities have these items and it’s better to be safe than sorry. The show can be loud so make sure you talk with the kids about this.
3. Go to the bathroom prior to the show
There is no intermission so I strongly suggest you get set in your seats and then head to the bathroom. Also, listen for the music, it’s one of my favorite little things!
4. Wear light colored clothes!
Just trust me on this. I don’t want to give it away, but I put Eleanor in a white dress and I wore a light pink top and it was her favorite part!
5. Bring a Camera or make sure your cell has enough juice
Usually after the show the Blue Man and band will do photos in the lobby. It’s a great memory and the kids will love it.
6. Allow them to laugh and have fun
The Blue Man Experience is about getting lost in the moment and creating a community together for 90 minutes. The kids will love it and so will you, so enjoy!
Bonus Tip: If you get Blue Man paint on your clothes the best way to get it out is to hand wash it with Dawn dish soap!
What to know before going to Blue Man Group
Do you have any other tips you would add for seeing Blue Man Group?
Make sure you check out my other Blue Man Group things: DIY Spin Art, Watery Spin Art.
I was not compensated for this post. I do work for Blue Man Group, but these tips and opinions are my own as a parent.
I've wanted to go see them for awhile, but wondered if the kiddos would enjoy it, sounds like they would! Thanks for the tips!
Thank you for the great tips. I am going to go out today and buy everyone a white t-shirt to wear for tomorrow's show. We are so excited, the kids will love it!!
How was the show? Was everyone excited in their white shirts!
DO YOU THINK A 4 YEAR OLD WOULD ENJOY THE SHOW MY 14 REALLY WANTS TO GO
Hi Jenn, I really think it depends on the 4 year old. I took my daughter when she was just 4 and she loved it, but was also very familiar with the character. If your 4 year old loves everything the 14 year old does it will probably be a hit, but I suggest watching some videos prior and seeing if the 4 year old enjoys them. Hope this helps.
THANKS
MIGHT BE STRANGE QUESTION, BUT IM SURPRISING MY HUSBAND TOMORROW NIGHT WITH TICKETS. FOR HIS BIRTHDAY. DO PEOPLE BRING DRUM STICKS.. I HOPE HE GETS CALLED UP TO STAGE.
