Yesterday my sweet girl turned turned 6. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been a parent for the past 6 years and it’s been a joy to watch her grow.

"Happy 6th Birthday Eleanor"Since her birthday was a Sunday we were able to spend the day together as a family. The traditional breakfast at our local diner started the morning off great. As she’s growing older we’re seeing a difference in her style and personality. She calls herself a tomboy and loves to do what the boys are doing. She got softball cleats from Grandma and Grandma and the most exciting was the remote control Batman car from GG and Grandpa Steve. We were also able to video chat with everyone as she opened the gifts making is even more special.

"Air Hogs Batmobile"For the afternoon Mike took her to the schools variety show, where she saw friends and teachers performing and having so much fun. She can’t wait to be a part of it next year and that has me very excited. I loved to do the school plays and am a big arts supporter so I can’t wait for her to be a part of it.

The big fun was having our best friends over for a birthday dinner. Eleanor requested stuffed peppers and for her cake she wanted a rainbow cake with oreos. We had a lot of fun making this together, but of course the best was singing to the birthday girl.

Happy Birthday EleanorTo her the day was “the greatest” and she’s so excited to be 6. She also told me that the best gift was being a good friend.

Favorites:
You love Chocolate ice cream and cake, but know when it’s time to stop eating sweets
Wearing your Batman sweatshirt, and dressing up as different characters is something you love and listening to the characters you create is hysterical.
Watching Netflix you pick The Pirate Fairy, Pokemon, Jem (this makes me so happy) and Wild Kratts along with a ton of other things your brother likes.
Superheros are so cool to you and I love that you aspire to be one.

When it comes to school you totally love it and are a friend to all. You’ve learned some lessons this year and are working at choosing friends worthy of your friendship and I’m proud of you for voicing your feelings. You’re also starting to show some sass, and learning boundaries.

This past year we’ve done some amazing things together and have really enjoyed watching your grow. I can’t wait to see what this year holds! We love you sweet girl!
