Last weekend we went apple picking with our lunch bunch friends to Masker Orchards in Warwick, NY. It’s a little more then an hour from us, and the drive gave us an opportunity to do a little leaf peeping. I really do love this time of year and seeing the beautiful colors and scenery.

Since this was our first time at the orchard we really made the most of it. The view of amazing and the trees were full of delicious apples. Their policy was you can eat all the apples you want while there, and we took full advantage of it.

It was great to see the kids running around, or getting pulled around and teaching them to pick the apples and thank the trees.

We left with our bag full of apples and haven’t stopped eating or making things with them.
So far we’ve made:

4 batches of apple sauce and frozen some apples for future sauce making.

Eleanor made her 1st apple pie!

And we made some fun apple cinnamon muffins (1 batch to freeze and 1 to enjoy now!)
There’s also been lots of apples for snacks and treats. I won’t lie I’m on apple overload, but it’s been great to eat them and make delicious treats from them.
