There’s something to be said for a toy that has stood the test of time and Lincoln Logs is a toy that comes to mind for many generations. As it celebrates it’s 100th birthday I’m excited to share this toy with my kids as well. It’s a quality toy with both past, present and future memories.
It was super fun to see them at Sweet Suite this year and hear about the big 100th birthday. I have memories of playing with this toy and my parents do as well so I was very excited when I heard we would be receiving the 100th Anniversary tin. I love that this tin can hold all the pieces, 111, and is easy for my kids to open and close. Keeping things organized is important, and I want to make sure we don’t lose any pieces so it’s perfect.

Lincoln logs use imagination, gross motor skills, problem solving and more. I love watching both my kids work together to create a house. We also would talk about how you have to alternate pieces and that you don’t need to follow the instructions you can make anything you want.
I also love knowing that these are Made in the USA! Nothing better than giving your child a toy and you know where it was made, Burnham, Maine. I also think it’s pretty cool that Frank Lloyd Wright’s son John Lloyd Wright is the inventor. Looking at architecture in a new way is pretty cool, and who know’s maybe it will be a trivia night question!

I also love how sturdy the pieces are and their beautiful colors and that they guarantee parts. Just give them a call if something breaks and they’ll take care of it. Customer Service is important to them and since I plan to keep this toy and one day share it with the families next generation I like knowing that I’ll be taken care of!
Did you grow up playing with Lincoln Logs?
Disclosure: I was provided with the toy as a Sweet Suite 16 attendee. All thoughts are my own!
