Summer is the time to spend outside with friends making memories and sharing meals. I hate having to turn on my stove, but enjoy putting out a lovely spread. I was so excited to learn that Heluva Good!® has come out with even more awesome products, specifically the Heluva Good! Block Cheese so of course I wanted to try it out and make a fun cheese plate to celebrate and share with friends.

I’ve always been a fan of the Heluva Good! dips and when I saw the block cheese in the cheese section of Walmart I started to stock up. My family loves cheese and with so many different options (Colby Jack, Pepper Jack, Extra Sharp Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, White Extra Sharp Cheddar, White Sharp Cheddar, White Mild Cheddar, Muenster, Monterey Jack, Special Reserve Extra Sharp Cheddar, Colby, Mild Cheddar) it’s fun to mix things up and have a creative cheese spread for lunch.

I love making a cheese plate and using fun things to pair with the cheeses. Of course we like to have some meats (prosciutto, summer sausage and pepperoni) and bread, but I like throwing in some sweet peppers, kalamata olives, cashews, fresh cherries and some sweet mustard to compliment the flavorful cheeses. It’s great to see people trying out the different combinations of foods to see what they like and what compliments the cheeses.

I try to cut the cheese (Ha!) in a fun way making it different sizes and shapes while giving the cheese plate some extra personality. I love my little peacock out of the Colby Jack and sweet peppers, and it totally gets smiles and ooohhhhss from everyone who sees it.

Kids and adults love looking at a fun presentation of food and I love knowing that there’s something for everyone on my cheese plate.
