Easter has been a special holiday for Mike and I for a lot of reasons.

The first weekend he met my parents was Easter weekend.  The first big holiday meal we made as a couple was Easter.  We brought Eleanor home from the hospital on Easter Sunday, 2 years ago, and I’m sure we’ll have lots more memories in the future.

This year we decided to come down to DE to spend time with family and introduce Camden to everyone.

I’ve always loved the act of egg dying and hunting for eggs, and it looks as if Eleanor is following those footsteps.

The best thing was when she woke Mike and I up saying “Easter Bunny hide eggs.”  She did really well finding all the eggs and we were surprised with how she started finding them without us explaining the idea.

I also won’t lie, I’m still a big kid who loves to find the eggs too, but I wasn’t the only one.

We kept the basket simple this year, but I think the Easter bunny left a peep out and someone just loved it!  It’s a good thing Grandma Jean sent a toothbrush.

We also got a special visit from our good friends The Pryors, where the girls went out to find some more eggs.

The best thing about the whole weekend was getting some time in with family.  Not only did we have Lovey and Papa, but Uncle Courtland, Auntie Megan, and Aunt Jill, Kevin and Quintin came down to celebrate.

I hope everyone had a great holiday and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  Happy Easter!
