Did you know March is National Nutrition Month? Well this month I came to a big realization that I need to make better choices when it comes to eating for both myself and the family so I’m sharing some healthy foods that will make snacking and spending time together even more fun, thanks to BabbleBoxx.

BabbleBoxx Healthy Choices

Earlier this month I had my annual physical with my doctor. I’m not proud to say this, but I hadn’t been in a few years, and as I’m getting older I’m noticing that I need to stay on top of things both physically, and mentally. A big topic of conversation was about my eating habits, and I wasn’t too proud of the things I was listing. Sure I snack on carrots and peppers, but often I don’t make good choices in snacks and drinks, and that also means the rest of the family isn’t making good choices either.

Brew Dr. Kombucha

I wanted to cut back on sugary drinks, but want something more than water, so giving Brew Dr. Kombucha a try was the 1st thing I did. It’s 100% raw, probiotic kombucha using the same whole leaf teas and botanical served at their teahouses. It’s artfully crafted, authentic and so tasty. I feel a pep in my step when I’m drinking one and the flavors are just right.

Making Healthy Choices

Of course I don’t want to give up on fun things I do with the family and it’s a big deal in our house to have family movie nights at some point over the weekend, and this is where I find I start to make choices that aren’t the best so learning that Jolly Time Simply Popped Pop Corn has a tasty microwave and ready to eat version that’s only 35 calories makes me so happy. I also find we’re using popcorn for an afternoon snack or at parties because we love to snack on it.

Junkless

Sometimes it can also be a challenge on the go to stay full and energized. The JUNKLESS Chewy Granola Bars are great to grab and throw in the purse, day bag, snack bag, beach bag, who am I kidding any bag. They contain no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, are Non-GMO Project verified and come in some sweet flavors: Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, 100% real Strawberries and my favorite Cinnamon Roll. JUNKLESS Foods Inc is a small startup committed to providing families with better treats made with simple, real ingredients. No fake stuff and that a win for me. Plus you can order them from Amazon!

NutPods

This time of year I also start to drink Iced Coffee a lot more, and of course I like mine light and sweet which isn’t the best choice for someone trying to cut back on sugars. When I learned about the nutpods dairy free creamer I was skeptical for taste, it’s free of GMOs, soy, dairy, gluten and artificial flavors/colors, but WOW is it good, and it has the richness and creaminess of half & half. I also like that there are different flavor options. The French Vanilla is my favorite and I’ve got a deal to share

Sprout Organic CrinklezEven though my kids may not be babies or toddlers any more I had friends, nieces and nephews and I like to have some things on hand to be able to offer a snack. The Sprout Organic Crinklez are so perfect because they get a mix of whole fruits, vegetable and grains and some pretty cool food combos. They really understand how a baby and toddler eat and how to expand their palate beyond sweet so they can love nutritious food from an early age.

What ways are you working to eating healthier and take care of yourself and your family?
