There are moments in life when you know you’re doing something right. After getting the invite to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration I knew I was on the right path in the blogging world, for me. The pixie dust was sprinkled and the family was excited. We drove down to Orlando from New Jersey and the week we had was something I will cherish forever.

Eva Smith from Pinterest gave some insightful tips. Pinterest is about the future and very personal. She also gave some great tips when it comes to pinning:
- -A Great image should be vertical, clear and understandable
- -Write helpful descriptions
- -Make sure you’re linked to a useful destination
Donald Driver asked us to look at ourselves in the mirror and ask Why do I blog? He also reminded us that we are all unique and special in our own way and that we have a passion. I was so moved by his session and left knowing more about myself than I did before.
I was excited to listen to Pixar Producer Jonas Rivera talk about the new movie Inside Out. We got to hear how the idea came about and even saw some behind the scene pictures and videos. This movie comes out June 20th, I’ve seen 2/3s of it and can’t wait to see the rest.
There were treats and info from Alamo and Hanes as well as some delicious food and amazing conversations with old and new friends.
Cris Brogan had us think about talking with others: Ask, Share, Do. He also encouraged us to create a different newsletter and to make a point to be connected to our readers when they send an email.
I loved learning about Disney Infinity 3.0 (coming in the Fall and it’s Star Wars) the Disney Imagicademy where the apps are for both the kids and parents. There’s also D23 a free club fans can join to get the latest info and a few extra perks. Plus they have the “When did it start for you?” contest going on asking people when their love for Disney started.
We had the chance to meet some StormTroopers, Anna, Elsa and Olaf and they even had fun things for the kids to do while we spent the day working. My kids love meeting Stitch and getting some quality time at the pool with Dad.
The evening ended with the family attending Mickey’s Beach Party. I got to dance on the beach with the kids, drink out of a Mickey straw, enjoy more yummy food and we were all ready for bed by 9:30pm.
The conference day was long and busy, but so amazing. I left inspired, excited and thankful. The organizers pulled together magic and learning with a side of fun. Thanks for a great day!
