Traveling as a family is a very important thing to Mike and I. We want our kids to experience life and see the US and world. With the kids getting a little older we’re planning some bigger trips and I was excited to learn about some travel tips and products that will make it a little easier for everyone at the 4th Annual MomTrends Travel Event.

First lets start with Guardian. We take a camping trip every year and we know that when you’re spending lots of time outside and or near the woods ticks and mosquitoes find you and your sweet little ones. I was so happy to learn about this all-natural and DEET free spray and will be using it in both the backyard and woods!

Something else that’s important when you have little ones is taking along the items you need. Baby Bjorn has so many great things. Their travel crib is something people swear by, and their baby carrier has stepped up to the plate in so many ways. I was excited about the small potty and the seat, both things I’ll be needing for our little guy very soon. I also swear by this bib. It really catches the food and all you have to do is rinse it off. Less laundry is a major plus for me.

When it comes to snacks BarkThins are a great treat for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the car, on the plane or by the campfire they give you that treat you want with a little something extra. With flavors like Dark Chocolate Pretzel, Dark Chocolate Peppermint and Blueberry Quinoa this is something everyone can enjoy!

Now we all know vacations are a bit of relaxing and sometimes long and busy days so sitting down to enjoy a glass of wine is exactly what is needed. I love these XO, G the little glasses give you just what you want and you don’t have to worry about opening a big bottle and not drinking it all.

For the fashion of summer MiracleSuit is the best way to look and feel good about spending time by the pool, beach, lake or just running through the sprinkler in your backyard. I love their different styles and how they make me feel. I also am a huge fan of their different cover ups. Easy to throw on and they dry quick.

One of the tips we got from New York Family Magazine was to visit National Parks. There’s so many great parks out there and it’s something you can do for years. #FindyourPark is something we want to do more of. Even it’s it’s a weekend getaway it will be fun to cross off the different parks.

Something I never really thought about was a sleep aid. If you’re traveling internationally it’s hard to get your body to adjust to the time difference so packing some ZzzQuil can help so you don’t miss any of the fun because you’re tired.

I also got to check out OiOi bags and they really can hold a lot and don’t look like a diaper bag. A great tip was to always keep a book or magazine for you in the bag you never know when they’ll be sleeping and it’s nice to unplug for a bit and get lost in a book!

I fell in love with the FairyTales hair kit. It’s such work to comb E’s hair, but this stuff is awesome and I love that it helps keep her hair healthy after spending time in the sun and pools. The detangler smells so good that I want to use it on my hair!

I’m also very excited about Acure Organic Castile Soap. I love that we can use this for everything from washing dishes to brushing our teeth and while they have fragrance free, I’m excited to try the Tropical Citrus!

While there were so many great travel tips and products it’s also nice to have a little stay-cation or backyard camp our and Land of Nod knows how to bring the fun for everyone. With adorable tents, sleeping bags and a Smores kit any family would love to have fun and bring their imagination to life.

Traveling and adventuring as a family is the best gift we give our kids. It’s time together and it doesn’t matter if it’s around the world or in the backyard. Thanks MomTrends for helping me get ready for a fun summer of adventure with the family!
