Breakfast is often thought to be the most important meal of the day. It’s also got food that can be eaten any time of the day, so a breakfast charcuterie board is one that can used for any meal and will add some delight and wonder to all.
Breakfast Charcuterie Board
Let’s be honest there’s something special about breakfast foods. People love to enjoy them, any time of the day. I find breakfast for dinner to be something easy and exciting, and by adding it onto a board, you’re hitting a new level of fun. Sure this works great for that sleepover or brunch and the possibilities of what to add are endless depending on what your favorite breakfast foods are.
What is a breakfast board
To me breakfast is about waffles, French toast and bacon, but you can also have bagels, toast, eggs, muffins, Danish and more. Of course it’s all about the extras for me, and having Nutella, syrup, peanut butter, and jam close by to give my breakfast a sweet finish is what I enjoy, but maybe you just want some cream cheese and loxs. The possibilities are endless, and oh so tasty.
Waffle charcuterie board
We love to enjoy waffles in our house, so a waffle charcuterie board was perfect for me. What I enjoy about waffles is all the tasty extras you can get, like berries, whipped cream, and syrup. Small containers keeping all of these things easily accessible makes the perfect waffle easy to pull together. Waffle makers are a great addition to the kitchen, and you have various sizes and types.
Disney charcuterie board
If you’re a Disney fan then you can easily add some Disney elements to the board. I just used my Mickey waffle maker, to give this a Disney feel, and could have easily put berries in a Mickey shape, or used Mickey cookie cutters on French toast. There’s also the idea of placing some bowls in a Mickey shape. Lots of possibilities, and great way to have a Disney reveal as family.
Easy brunch ideas
We all love a weekend brunch, so if you’re hosting some friends, or having a playdate with kids this is something that can be prepped in advance making things easy. We like to make our French toast, waffles and bacon the day before, and store it in the fridge. Then we just heat it up in the oven for a few mins before we lay it out on the charcuterie board. This also allows us to cook some eggs and not feel like we’re trying to do it all.
Breakfast should be an enjoyable meal, that everyone sits down to together, and by preparing things in advance it allows you to just that.
