Decorating for St. Patty’s Day is easy and can be personal with this Hanging Shamrock Wreath for your front door or wall.

St. Patrick’s Day Decoration
Now that we have a house I find that I need to decorate our front door for all the holidays, and spring has some fun options. With St. Patty’s Day approaching I knew I wanted to have some kind of decoration to show our Irish side, but since we’re on a budget I needed to keep it low cost and that’s where I needed to get creative. I also wanted something personal. This MDEC are the 1st initial of our names, but you could spell out LUCK and it would be just as cute! Hanging Shamrock Wreath
Here’s the Step by Step Tutorial
Step 1: Sand the wood before you paint it.
Step 2: Paint the 4 hearts
Step 3: Cut a piece of felt as a backing for the hearts.
Step 4: Position your hearts on the felt
Step 5: Hot glue the hearts to the felt
Step 6: Hot glue the hearts to each other (it just makes it more stable)
Step 7: Hot glue ribbon to the top and bottom
Step 8: Flip over the top of the ribbon about an inch and glue to make a loop
Step 9: Optional: I used my Cricut to cut our initials and personalize the Shamrock. I used permanent vinyl, but you can paint or use sticker letters. This also works for spelling out LUCK

This is a quick and easy craft to add some fun to your front door, you’re mantle or a spot on the wall you want decorated. I would suggest that if you’re putting it outside you coat it with minwax indoor/outdoor spray, but if you’re hanging it inside then I wouldn’t worry. Happy Crafting!
