Today is my baby girls birthday and that means a yearly recap of her growing personality and tricks
The best word to describe you is Sassy. You are independent, brave and at times a little bossy. If there’s an opportunity to be the star you will step forward and show us that you are one. I often have to reign you in and remind you that you are not the only one who needs attention. Which brings me to your job as a big sister.
Camden looks up to you and does anything and everything you try to do. You are very loving and sweet with each other, but there are times when you can get a little rough. Which is how you like to play. You are in no ways a frilly girl. I often say you’re rough and tumble; meaning you would rather play pirate or astronaut then princess. You don’t mind playing tea party and you’re not opposed to dresses, but your favorite outfits consist of leggins and Toy Story T-Shirts.
You had some big milestones this year. We moved from Brooklyn to NJ and you’ve adjusted nicely, but you still miss our Brooklyn family. You got your 1st real haircut at the Maplewood Barber shop in December, and then gave yourself a haircut in February. You saw you’re 1st real movie in a theater in November, Frozen, and then we saw it again in January for the Sing-A-Long.
Speaking of singing you love to sing. Magic in Me from the end of Pitch Perfect was your song, but now it’s anything from Frozen. I’m also so surprised by the number of songs you know on the radio. Sometimes you ask us to turn it up and you are thrilled when Let it Go comes on.
You are working on school work and get frustrated quickly, but are learning that getting upset doesn’t help. You have mastered writing your name and the alphabet. You’re doing great on your numbers and writing the colors of the rainbow (which you know in ROY G. BIV order). Your memory is sharp and you often ask about something that happened a while ago or a toy that you haven’t touched in 6 months that went into the donate pile.
You’re a compassionate girl and care about others. You have a positive attitude and often remind us that we are your role models with different things you say (ex: You’re my Daddy you never give up! When Mike was trying to juggle). You push your limits and try to get away with staying up late or getting more “special treats” then we agree to.
Your a pretty good eater, but would eat mac and cheese everyday if we allowed it. You also love spagehetti and Brooklyn pizza, but chocolate if your favorite. It doesn’t matter if it’s ice cream, cake, cookies, or brownies you devour whatever it is and ask if you can finish your brothers. The same goes for milk. We often find you sneaking his milk when you don’t think we’re looking, but we are!

Playing outside is one of your favorite things. It doesn’t matter if you’re in our backyard, at the park or making snow angels in the driveway you just love to be outside.
As we mark another year, I thank my lucky stars for getting to be your Mama and to watch you grow everyday. I love you Belly, Happy 4th Birthday!
