FrontierTown in Ocean City, MD

Every year we go camping with my parents and family. When I say camping I mean they have an RV and we have a tent. This year my Mom really wanted to go to Frontier Town in Ocean City, MD so we said sure.

Wow talk about a great place to camp. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon, set up camp and were off exploring all the fun. The big highlight was when my Mom pulled up in a golf cart she rented for the weekend, and we’ve decided it’s key!

So what does Frontier Town have that makes it so much fun?

Well to start the campsite has lots of activities planned daily, from a campfire and s’mores event to candy bingo and a DJ dance party. We also took full advantage of having access to the water park. That’s right I said water park with a lazy river and slides. Mike and I also decided to try out the Adventure course (It’s $30 each if your camping on property). With 3 different levels and tons of zip lines we really got our moneys worth and our muscles were very sore the next day.

There’s also Frontier Town itself where we paid admission to hang out with some of the local town folk, and the kids were honorary deputy’s for the day. We saw a stage coach get robbed, panned for gold and watched a can can show; all kinds of fun.

It was a fun weekend of family, and food and we really loved just hanging out. One of the reasons we enjoy camping at a place like this is we get to immerse ourselves in the trip and not have to worry about finding parking or sitting in traffic. Once we’re there we’re set, but if we really wanted to head into Ocean City they had a bus we could ride for free during the day.

We’re already planning our visit for next year and can’t wait to spend a few more days.
