Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, I love that you can come together with family and friends and enjoy time together, plus the fun of black Friday shopping makes this holiday a win-win. This year we made the decision not to travel and stay home. So when we found out my parents and brother and sister-in-law couldn’t come I definitely had reservations on this idea of staying in NYC. So we decided to open the invitation to some friends and we got a bonus with Mike’s Dad being able to join us, his 1st Thanksgiving with a family member in over 20 years.

We had a great day and so much fun making the food, we went for the traditional meal and after we ate we wished we had made more food, only 1 day of leftovers didn’t cut it for me!

The other fun was my friend Kate agreed to go Black Friday shopping with me, she was a 1st timer and we had so much fun, and got an extra bonus as James decided to join us as well. Now do I feel we got a deal of the century, No, but we had a lot of fun and the people were nice.

The best part of staying home this holiday was not dealing with travel, and really getting to enjoy our family. When I asked Eleanor what she was Thankful for she said, Mommy, Daddy, Camden, & Grandpa all together, I’m surprised she didn’t say cake!

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
