One of my favorite things about Christmas morning is seeing what Santa filled our stockings with the night before. As a kid it wasn’t about the gifts under the tree it was more about what was in the stockings!
We would get all types of useful items, candy, gold chocolate coins and an orange, but I always loved to open the little gifts (toys) inside.
Mike had very different stockings growing up, yes he would get the orange in the toe, but he would also get socks and underwear with some candy and toys.
Since stockings are important to both of us, we actually have 3 different sets, I’ve learned to combine our traditions to make stockings that work for us.
Fruit of the Loom underwear, socks and undershirts.
This is something we always need and lets not lie there’s nothing better then putting on a new pair of underwear or socks. I love that Fruit of the Loom offers affordable quality items. It’s so easy to pick up the items when your browsing through Walmart, and I find myself getting carried away with all the different options. It’s also the perfect stocking stuffer because it doesn’t matter the age everyone can use this, Camden may not be potty trained but the undershirts are perfect for this time of year!
Glowsticks
We use glow-sticks all the time in our house. They are especially popular at bath time for glow baths.
Electric toothbrushes & toothpaste
I use Easter and Christmas as toothbrush replacement time and I just love the Oral B electric ones. Camden is always trying to get Eleanor’s so I’m going to try this out for him.
Bandaids
That’s right with so many different styles it’s hard to choose which ones the kids will love the most.
Dried Fruit
I always loved getting banana chips, dried pineapple, raisins or apricots. My mom made it feel like a special treat!

I find the Dollar Tree, Walmart, Duane Reade/Walgreens, Michaels and Target are my go-to places for stocking suffers for the whole family. We usually set the budget at $25 per stocking and I find that keeping the items fun and useful makes the value even better.
