I recently met Mabel’s Labels at the #MomtrendsBTS event and since then become addicted to labeling things.
What is Mabel’s Labels you ask? It’s a waterproof, microwave and dishwasher safe label to keep both kids and parents organized. It was created by 4 moms who were frustrated by their children’s belongings leaving home, never to return.
Why do I need these labels? If your child has a tendency to lose things or has a classmate with the exact same shoes, backpack or lunch box than these labels will save you a lot of time knowing what you should be taking home.

I view these labels like an insurance policy. By labeling everything my child has, shoes, lunch bag, umbrella, jacket, mittens, water bottle; I know that if someone else accidentally takes it home the odds of it getting back to me are much higher. Teachers see so many students they can forget what items belong to each child so I’m helping them keep track of what belongs to my daughter.
The other great thing is you can totally create a label that reflects your child. Eleanor and I spent a good 20 minutes picking out which labels she would like, she also loved seeing her name on the screen. We looked at all the different options but she picked the pirate ships and when they arrived in the mail she was so excited.
I also have found them to be super useful as an adult. I’ve got all my electronics labeled and don’t have to worry about someone walking away with my charger because they weren’t sure if it was theirs. It’s a great thing for a conference since everyone’s charging their devices!
Overall I think Mabel’s Labels are a great investment. I love the Ultimate Back-to-School Combo and the Stylish Scholars Combo, but they have Sticky Labels and Skinny-Minis which are perfect for little ones in daycare. As well as tons of options for the home!
It’s not too late to order your labels for the school year, so hop on over and start looking at all the great options they offer!
I’m also doing an awesome giveaway with a group of bloggers and Mabel’s Labels is included. Click HERE to enter! Ends Friday, August 15th 2014.
