Going to the movie theater is something that doesn’t happen a lot for me anymore, so when the chance to have a screening of the new, hilarious movie Moms’ Night Out came to my inbox from The Moms I jumped at the chance.

We were treated to Momosas with Martini and Rossi and some delicious fruit from Edible Arrangements prior to the showing.
The movie stars Sarah Drew, Sean Astin, Patricia Heaton and David Hunt (just to name a few) and totally resonated with me on so many levels of being a mom. All these ladies want is a Mom’s night out and things don’t go as well as they had hoped. This movie had me laughing, crying, missing my kids, and feeling like the writers were in my mind and understand how I feel as a mom.
I highly recommend you take an afternoon or evening and go. You can go with your girls, or maybe with you spouse, or even by yourself. I personally love going to see a movie by myself. Taking “Mom time” is one of the hardest things to do, but it’s totally necessary.
After the screening we were on the air with The Moms and got to chat with some of the stars about keeping a good balance. Sarah Drew pointed out that she does a bi-weekly Wednesday dinner with her girlfrieds and they talk about everything. Patricia Heaton mentioned that she does a yearly girls weekend away. David Hunt talked about when he was a Dad at home and that he’s so thankful that he was so involved in his sons life. Sean Astin snuck in to talk about the guilt he feels about having to travel and usually missing his wife’s birthday or Mother’s day.
It was a great evening and the movie gave me some rejuvenation in knowing that I’m not alone in this crazy world of being a Mom. Take some time for yourself and remember you are doing an amazing job at being a parent. We didn’t get instruction manuals so you’re writing the best one for you, just don’t forget to add some fun and relaxing in there too. So start by going to see this awesome movie. It’s in theaters now!
