It’s hard to think about, but it’s time to start Back to School shopping. Last week I got a sneak peak with the Momtrends Back to School event. There were so many great brands there for all the different types of things that are needed when you head back to school.
I loved the fashion show and the young models. Outfitted in Land’s End, French Toast Uniforms, Stride Rite, Keds, Appaman, and Vera Bradley these kids are ready for any school day whether it be the 1st day of school or picture day.
I was so impressed with the small details that French Toast puts into their uniforms. The button details for the girls and the reinforced knees in the boys pants really set this uniform company apart from others. They also shared that you can order your uniforms for the year for under $200.
I loved meeting Mabels Labels and am looking forward to labeling everything I can with the labels they gave us. There’s no confusing what’s mine now. If I do forget to label that cute Stride Ride boot, I won’t get upset. I will refer to The Orange Rhino Challenge My 365 Day Journey to Yell Less and Love More. Yeah you read that right. Check out her book Yell Less, Love More.
Along with the stress of parenting comes the stress of remembering to do everything. I love that Wall Pops has some great organization items to help keep activities and snack day straight with their calendars. With so many styles to choose from you can make these work in any room and if you decide you don’t like them in one spot, just peel them off and put them in another spot.
Thinking about school makes me think about packing lunches, something I’m not great at doing. I miss my Lunch Bunch, but with Revolution Foods I can send in a healthy and easy lunch for the kids. I also love that you can get them directly from Fresh Direct.
All of these things help to prepare for the school year, but there’s something else we need to be prepared for and that’s the dreaded letter that gets emailed or sent home saying there’s been a lice outbreak in the school. (Stop itching!) We know it happens and I personally like to be educated and ready to go if the outbreak happens. Vamousse is an amazing product that’s out to kill those Superlice and it’s only a 15 minute process. A good girl scout is always prepared and I love that I have some ready in the closet.
I learned about so many great and new products and loved getting the kids ready with new clothes, supplies and knowing that I’m doing my best to be prepared for all the school year will bring my way. So sharpen those pencils and shine those shoes because the 1st day of school is coming!
I was not compensated for this post, but did receive a lovely gift bag for attending the event. As always all opinion are my own.
