I’ve discovered there are some things near the end (after 40 weeks) of the pregnancy that you just don’t care/want to hear.

    • Wow, you’re still here (Yes, I’m still working and I plan to work until I give birth, I’ve been making this statement since the start)

    • You’re still working?  (Yes, I want to have as much time with my baby as possible and since we aren’t rich I need to work every day I can)

    • You’re so big (Yes, but I don’t need you telling me everyday.)

    • You should…(insert something someone said about how to induce labor)

    • You hit the point where all you want/can wear are sweatpants/yoga pants/leggings.  I don’t care to look super cute at this point I want comfort!

    • How are you feeling? (While this is a nice thing to hear and to know they care you just feel like you’re saying the same thing over and over)

    • What’s your/your doctors plan?  (If I wanted you to know I would tell you, you’re not immediate family so it’s none of your business)

    • You hit the point where you just don’t care (I’m going to take my sweet time walking/eating/doing whatever it is I need to do)

Then there’s the other aspect of the final weeks:

    • Knowing that people care about you

    • Telling you how great you look

    • What a superstar you are for getting out everyday and working

    • Feeling the love from family, friends and co-workers who just want to be a part of this exciting time in your life

I feel this pregnancy has been a blessing and I am so thankful that I have so many people who care for me and my growing family.  It’s been an amazing experience and in these last few weeks I’ve really grown to respect what our bodies can do.  I promise I will post when the time comes for Baby P2 and the appropriate phone calls/emails/texts/posts will be out there.
