The Christmas Tree in our house is a unique one (it’s a pop up) and one of my favorite things about decorating for the holidays is pulling up our tree and taking out the ornaments boxes.
I have a tradition with my best friends that’s been going on for years, instead of giving birthday or Christmas presents we exchange an ornament each year that reminds us of each other or something we did together.
I love pulling each ornament out and remembering the person, event or significance behind it. Mike has listened to the stories for the last 5 Christmas’ so he was so happy that I had Eleanor to tell each story to this year. I also love finding ornaments for us as a family, and knowing that soon we’ll have homemade ornaments from our little ones on the tree.
Some people love to have the tree that is all color coordinated and with beautifully matching ornaments, but not me, give me the tree with a 100 stories and memories.
