Big news! Yesterday I got up early and headed into the city for a special event at the Hearst Tower. It was something I was looking forward to from the moment the invite hit my mailbox. It was a sneak peek of O The Oprah Magazine’s: Oprah’s Favorite Things 2015.
To say I was excited is an understatement. The wonderful Adam Glassman, O’s Creative Director, was the perfect MC for this event and he gave us a little back story on how it all works. In July the boxes start to roll in for different products to test. It winds up being over 1,000 different things. Then for 2 days Oprah, Gayle and Adam test, taste, smell, touch, feel, laugh and figure out what will be going on the O list.
This year there are 87 items, the biggest list to date and they are awesome. I thought I would share 10 of my favorites that I got see at the event. If you want the full list make sure you get O The Oprah Magazine or it makes a great gift idea, subscription! They also have 12 days of giveaways so pick one up.

What’s even better is all the items can be purchased through Amazon!
Apparently when Oprah tasted this she was so said finally a good hot sauce that’s not from Louisiana. This hot sauce is actually made in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (this is where Mike and I lived when we first moved to NYC) so it’s extra special to me too. This will be a perfect stocking stuffer, or great firs to take to an exchange or just because.
With 2 different sizes and a plethora of colors this triple insulated, vacuum sealed, bottle will keeps drinks cold for 25 hours or hot for 12. Apparently the large one will hold a full bottle of wine! So picnics in the park just got better!
Letter to my Baby, Love or Future You
In today’s age we don’t really write things down, but I love this concept and so did Oprah because this is her favorite, favorite thing. With tons of prompted ideas you just need to sit down and write how you feel or what you’re thinking. The possibilities, and stories are endless and you’ll look back on these letters and smile.
Eli’s Zabar Menorah Challah bread
When he brought this our we all get excited. I mean Challah bread is the best, and the fact that it’s in the shape of a Menorah will make Hanukkah festive and fun.
JC Penney Red Glasses
Looking for a pop of color for your table? These will do just that and who doesn’t love more glasses. These are also dishwasher safe making which is a big win for me.
Travelsmith Women’s Touch Sensor Fleece Gloves
These should be on every woman’s wish list. They are soft, comfy, have touch sensor technology and a little zipper pocket so you can stash money, keys or an ID or credit card. Running out to walk the dog? Grabbing a quick thing down the street. These gloves are awesome and come in a great selection of colors.
These nightshirts have a beautiful cut and some very clever sayings. Adam and Gayle personally love the one that say “I Told My Therapist About You” which Oprah didn’t get, then they showed her the one that said “I wish you looked at me the way you look at your Phone” and she knew it was a favorite thing. It comes in all sizes and was featured on GMA Deal’s & Steals so grab one or all of them now.
This collection is so sexy to look at and bonus it’s organic. The different flavors are fun and tasty and will make anyone happy. The Botanical is a favorite, but I’m very curious about the basil. Holiday drinks just got better.
LL Bean Extra Large Sonic Snow Tube
It doesn’t matter is your an adult or child people love to tube when there’s snow, and L.L. Bean has these sturdy and fashionable tubes in 2 sizes.
This was my favorite, favorite thing from the whole event. I totally got so excited when he showed us the LuMee smartphone case that lights up your face. Do you know someone who loves to do selfies, or video of themselves? This is a case they need. Perfect for those teens that are hard to shop for!
There are so many more things that I loved, but I don’t want to spoil it for you. If you’re looking to purchase any of these items they have a direct link to Amazon this year! So make sure you head over and check them out.
Now tell me what’s on your favorite things list!
Disclosure: I attended the event and little elves gifted me with some items. All opinions are my own.
