Who doesn’t love a good game of scrabble? I’ve found myself sharing laughs, words, and challenges while playing this game. What if I told you there’s a way to travel and play, without losing words or letters and it’s small enough to fit in a backpack? Crazy, but today I’m reviewing Scrabble to Go and why it’s worth the price.
I say price because this game really is high quality. It runs about $46, I know what your thinking, but when you look at it and think about all the details you understand why. It’s made for 4 people to enjoy and I’m going to break down all the features.
Lets talk about the case. It’s a soft case with a zipper and not too big or small. I wish there was a handle, but when I opened the case I understood why there wasn’t one. Inside one side has a pocket for the score sheet and a place for a pen. The bag with tiles is also on this side.

The board is folded in the center. If you look closely you’ll see the tile holders locked into place. You’ll also see that it’s set up for you to clip yours into place if you weren’t able to finish the game. The hard part is remembering who’s Player 1 and 2. The holders also have a close top so you can keep your letters secret from the competition.

When you open the board you’ll lock it into place. This is great if you’re in a moving item (think car, plane, boat, train). The letters also lock into place on the board. This is probably the best feature. I love that you don’t have to worry about a bump throwing the whole game off course. The letters seem so small when you first hold them, but as you play on the board you hardly notice.
The board is a hard plastic, and I like that I can wipe it clean easily. Being on the go it’s important to have something that will stand the test of time and I don’t want to worry about some water ruining it.
I love that I can keep this in the car or throw it in my backpack for wherever our adventure takes us. It’s a great game that teaches some awesome lessons. I’m even using it for my daughter’s 1st grade spelling words because it’s easy to pull out and we can do “homework” while we wait for her brother at a class or just for fun.

I’ve also got some exciting news because Winning Moves Games will send one lucky reader a Scrabble-To-Go. Giveaway runs till Monday, October 17th at 10PM EST. US entries only. Must be 18 + to enter.

Very cool, I need this in my life! Great giveaway!
I had no idea they made a big version! I have a small travel version of this and while its great (and compact) it is VERY tiny. Would love this!
Travel version – cool!
