Shhh…It’s a Secret Shop

Last Saturday the Prospect Church in Maplewood, NJ hosted a shopping event for kids.

They called it Shhhh…It’s a secret Shop

All children ages pre-school to grade 5 are invited to shop in secret for gifts for their family and friends. Teen-aged and adult “elves” will be on hand to guide and assist the children with their selections. Prices range from $2-$9. Free gift wrapping included! While the children shop we invite all waiting adults to gather in the Burnett Room for light refreshments and to browse the SERRV Shop, which offers fair trade items for purchase.

What a great idea right!  So Grandma and Grandpa took the kids over on Saturday morning to go shopping.  What really surprised us was it was all blocked off, no parents or grandparents allowed behind the curtain.  Grandma did manage to sneak a few photos of it, but we have no idea what they picked out for everyone. 

The best part was seeing how excited they were when they got back.  Here are they are holding up some of their gifts!!  I’m looking forward to seeing what they picked out for us!  It’s going to be a fun Christmas!
