I recently attended my 1st blogging conference, Blogger Bash, in NYC a few weeks ago. I was nervous, excited and had no idea what to expect, but they started off with Sweet Suite, and it was awesome!
I was a kid on Christmas Eve, the 1st night, with Sweet Suite, the biggest night of play. Sponsored by The Big Toy Book I got to meet over 50 brands and see all new and current toys that are and will be the most wanted this holiday season.
I immediately went to the back of the venue and found Cheer Bear with Just Play. I grew up loving the Care Bears and always wanted my own Cheer Bear, I got Birthday Bear instead. These bears are so much softer than mine was, and Eleanor wants one so I’m glad I got to check them out. They also had some awesome new Doc McStuffins (Mobile clinic) and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (tool bench) toys that will be on the market soon.
This event wasn’t just about kids toys, but there were some fun things for adults to play. I loved USAopoly and playing Tapple, Telestrations and Selfie. RnR Games also had Strike a Pose which was a fun and different take on a charades style game (I’m doing a chin up in my pose above). All of these should be added to game night rotations for the whole family.
I had the chance to learn about Disney Infinity (I had no idea what it was). If my kids were a little older I could see us having this system. They are launching Tink in the fall!
I had fun learning about Leap Frog’s newest game for the little ones. Leap TV. They have designed a controller perfect for little hands (3-8) and getting to try it out made me realize how important flexibility and stability is in a controller for kids. This is going to be a big one for Christmas I just know it.
Crayola was onsite to allow us to be “be creative” from the moment we walked in we got to decorate our badges however we wanted and we also got to try out a lot of their products making school signs, or lunch bags.
Speaking of creativity. The crafty mom in me was totally inspired by Creativity for Kids, Beados and GoldieBlox. All of these allow children to think outside of the box and really get creative, which I’m a huge fan of.
I also had a great time playing with Wacktivities and Spin Masters (Paw Patrol). Both having so many things that I know my kids will love and I would really have fun joining in to play with.
There were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mickey and Minnie and of course Frozen.
Little Tikes had an awesome compact kitchen that is a great gift for a boy or girl and I loved that you could really have water come out.
There were so many awesome toys for all ages that I managed to play for 4 hours and still felt like I didn’t see everything. It was an awesome night and I’m looking forward to working with these companies to bring you some exciting reviews and giveaways!
Tell me what toys are you excited to play with and learn more about?
