Since Mike and I met each other 7 years ago today we’ve been though a lot, who knows maybe we’ll meet our 2nd child today?

(Our first trip together we went to Italy for New Years, we look so young!)
STORY OF US:
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
7 years ago today we met (Feb 24th 2005)
2. How did you meet?
Mike was the Production manager for Taylor 2 and we had him booked at the theatre I was running. We met bright and early (8am) at the Days Inn hotel in Dover, DE. It was snowing and the first thing I said to him was we’re late, we’ve got to go before they close the schools.
I feel I should mention that we had spoken on the phone prior to meeting in preparation for the performance, and I can remember the day prior us getting very annoyed with each other on the phone about logistics.
3. If married, how long have you been married?
August 4th, 2007 for 4.5 years!

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?
We got married on the stage of the theatre that brought us together in front of 135 of our close friends and family. After the “show” we mingled around the Schwartz Center talking, dancing, and just enjoying each other. It was the perfect wedding for us and I wouldn’t change a thing. I even carried 24 roses in my bouquet to represent the day we met!
5. Do you have any nicknames you call eachother—Do Share!
I call him Dada and he calls me Mommy now, it used to be snowflake for me and sweet pea for him!
6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey:
-
- He picks family 1st.
-
- He goes above and beyond for me. He makes me feel loved and cherished and makes me homemade cards. Plus he puts up with the crazy things I want to do!
-
- His laugh and his ability to make us laugh.

- His laugh and his ability to make us laugh.
7. Tell us how he proposed:
This is my favorite story. It was at the theatre and I had a show that evening. I can remember sitting in the house holding his hand and thinking it’s sweaty and gross. What’s wrong. Then he excused himself to use the restroom. The next thing I know the performer was calling me up to the stage for a special thank you and gift and out he walked, he got down on one knee and the audience went crazy, I started to cry and the rest is history. Here’s the video, I was lucky enough to have my parents, brother and best friend in the audience and after the show there was a big reception that turned into a mini engagement party for us!
8. Tell us one thing you would like to do with your significant someday:
Own and home and travel more. We always talk about buying a house one day and I when we do we’ll work together to make it our house and I look forward to that. I would also like to take a vacation with him to a warm destination. We always joke that we travel/take vacation when it’s winter because that’s what we can afford to do. So fingers crossed we’ll make it somewhere warm!
9. Give us one piece of advice on keeping a relationship strong and full of love:
Talking. We’ve had great times and we’ve had rough times, and when we talk things out and let our thoughts and feelings be heard our relationship and family grows stronger. The second couples/families stop talking to each other is when things start to crumble. I would much rather yell and scream, laugh and cry then let those emotions stay pent up. Above all though we try and make time for ourselves, both individually and together, so we can keep that spark going!

Our first halloween as a couple 2008 we were cotton candy and candy seller!
