Planning a theater wedding or a Wish upon a star themed wedding? I’m sharing some of my favorite wedding moments and photos.
Today marks my 7th Wedding Anniversary with Mike. Since we married prior to Pinterest and blogging I thought I would pull together a recap of our wedding.

We met, got engaged and married at the Schwartz Center for the Arts, a theater I was running in Dover, DE. When we got engaged on the stage in front of an audience we were fortunate enough to have Susan Egan sing “When you Wish Upon a Star” and we knew that would be the perfect theme for our theater wedding.

I loved getting ready in the dressing rooms and having special moments with my girls and in my dress. I also had my girls and mom sign the bottom of my shoes so they would be walking down the aisle with me and my Dad.

Our wedding had some unique moments, we treated it like a show, and were lucky enough to have friends perform White Roses Duet with permission from Paul Taylor. My brother married us and then we performed our 1st dance on the stage, it really was a show!

Reminiscing about the day makes me smile and we love pulling out our Wedding Album each anniversary to look back on the start of our marriage. I also love to read the stars we asked everyone to make a wish on.

With all these memories I think the one photo I enjoy looking at the most is the one with everyone in the audience. This is my favorite because these people were there to help celebrate our day and future.
Note: All photos used in this post were take by our photographer Elizabeth Crook.

Happy Anniversary! It was my anniversary this weekend (which is so odd, because I never thought I'd get married).
Happy, happy anniversary! I love all these little touches. Mine is coming up at the end of this month too.
I’m interested in having my wedding at this very center could you help me with a point of contact ?
I’m sorry to say that the Schwartz Center in Dover, DE closed it’s doors in June 2017. It was a wonderful space and I’m sad to see this historic jem closed.
