While on vacation we have a tendency to splurge when it comes to food. We love to enjoy things that are special to the area and park. Disney has so many special treats that I thought I would share with you my top 5 treats.
Lefou’s Brew –
Park: Magic Kingdom
Where: Gaston’s Tavern
Cost: $9.99 with the souvenir cup or stein (it’s less if you don’t want the souvenir cup)
What: This is a frozen apple juice slushy with toasted marshmallow and oh so tasty. A perfect cool down on a hot day and I love the Belle cup. I just wish I could have shared one with Gaston!
Where: Just ask a cast member and they’ll point you to the closest cart or stand
Cost: under $5
What: I love a soft pretzel. It’s something I always go for, but the fact that this is shaped like Mickey means I have to have one (or 4). Mike adds mustard and if available I’ll dip mine in cheese sauce. I just wish I could see how they make them.
Soda Around the World- Coca Cola
Where: Club Cool
What: As a Coke lover I was so excited to check out all the different sodas from around the world. It’s a fun activity that we even let the kids try. Since you get a tasting cup you don’t have to worry if you don’t like it. I personally like the Zimbabwe and Eleanor liked Peru.
Mickey Ice Cream-
Where: Look for the Ice Cream Stands
Cost: under $5
What- Vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate in the shape of Mickey. This is the perfect and messy treat for kids and adults. It doesn’t matter how old you are; biting into a Mickey ice cream turns everyone into a kid!
Park: Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom
Where: Aloha Island (MK) and Tusma Tusma (AK)
Cost: Under $5
What:A soft served treat that’s made from pineapples and oh so good. They also have a Dole Whip float. The lines can be long for this, but it’s totally worth the wait.
Disney has so many treats and they really work to make sure all food allergies are considered. One of the things I learned was tell the cast members if you have an allergy and they’ll do their best to accommodate you.
