There’s something special about shopping and eating at Disney Springs with friends, or family, and I’ve got some favorites from a day shopping with the girls on my last visit.
Over the years Disney Springs has gone through some pretty amazing changes. I love that it’s expanded to have so many shops, restaurants and even some live entertainment. There’s a store for everyone and I’m so glad I got to spend the day hanging our with my friends, shopping, eating, laughing and just enjoying life.
Things to do in Disney Springs
DIY Candle Making Class at Bowes Signature Candles -One of my favorite things to do was make my own candle in the Disney Springs Co-Op at Bowes Signature Candles. This activity was so fun to pick my scents and pour my candle and the best part is I have a great souvenir. I may have also picked up a few other items while there as they have candles that smell like Disney, from the signature scent (Clover World). We also learned that these soy based candles are made in small batches so the scent is evenly distributed and hand poured.
Coca Cola Store – Tastes of the World – I’m a huge Coca-Cola fan and what makes this location so special is the Coca Cola Rooftop Beverage Bar (open for all ages). They have so different sodas from all over the world, and for $15 you can experience the Tastes of the World, trying 16 different sods. We had a blast comparing the sodas and putting our taste buds to the test. This is such a unique experience and hanging out on the rooftop taking in the view of Disney Springs was perfect. Of course I had to get my classic Coke and took full advantage of the photo ops around!
Disney Spring Shopping
There are so many amazing stores to pop in and check out while wondering around Disney Springs. The Marketplace Co-op is a great start, but I have a few others that I think should be checked out!
Lululemon – This store has recently opened in Disney Springs, and I want to point it out because the quality of the clothes is just what you need for working out, or spending the day walking around in the Florida heat. The science that goes into the clothes is amazing, and sizing ranges from 0-20, so there’s options. I personally loved how welcomed I felt by the staff the moment I walked in, and picked up some shorts because I didn’t pack appropriately for the weather. I think this is probably pretty common and people are looking for options they can wear all day and Lululemon has just that.
Rustic Cuff – Rustic Cuff is a rainbow of colored bracelets, but that’s not all there’s a beautiful story behind it. Jill Donovan took small moments of gifting her bangles and turned it into a wonderful, inspiration. I loved looking at all the designs, and they even do some monogramming on bracelets to really give a personal gift. I was impressed with how quick it was to have something personalized, but if there’s not a long wait it could be 5-10 mins, or you can come back later that day and pick it up.
Basin – Oh how I love a bath bomb, and the moment you walk into Basin you just want to begin planning your next relaxing bath. It has all kinds of bath salts, scrubs, soaps and bombs, and a lot of the ones in this store are Disney inspired so I just loved that. I love to give these as gifts, especially for my kids! I may have picked up a few fun surprises and stocking stuffers when I was in there.
Where to eat at Disney Springs
When it comes to food there’s something for everyone. Sit down, quick service and lets not forget about snacks and drinks.
Chicken Guy – The Chicken Guy is the perfect place for a quick affordable meal and with 22 different homemade sauces, you’ll find something for everyone here (the loaded fries were my favorite and I’m still thinking about them). Plus you can be in and out and back to shopping in no time. The homemade ranch was one of the best sauces but the Donkey sauce was also a favorite!
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar – Sometimes you just want to sit down and enjoy a drink or snack, and Jock Lindsey’s has a flight of beers and some of the best appetizers I’ve eaten in a long time. I’m a sucker for a soft pretzel and charcuterie board, but put them together and I’m in heaven!. It’s also right by the water so you just relax and depending on the day you make hear some live music outside in the small theater.
Planet Hollywood – I love movie memorabilia so dining at Planet Hollywood not only gave me the chance to walk around and explore some of my favorite films, but I also got to belt out some of my favorite songs while waiting for our meal. Speaking of meals the portions were very large, so I would recommend thinking of splitting an entrée. The lasagna rolls were so good, and the salmon with green beans was the perfect dinner after a full day of shopping.

I’m just scratching the surface of all the options Disney Springs has available. If you’re looking for the closest Official Disney property, it’s the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and only a 7 min walk to Disney Spring!
