This year I was very lucky to spend Mother’s Day in the happiest place on earth with my family. It was also the last day of the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration so they really made it special for attendees.
I got up very early for the GoGoSqueez Fun Run and even though it was 5:40am Mike made sure to wish me a Happy Mother’s Day before I left the room. When I got back to the room everyone was asleep so I showered and got ready for the last event. The kids woke and wished me a Happy Mother’s Day and showered me with kisses and hugs and soon we were off to breakfast.
We had a delicious meal and Voice Play was the perfect entertainment. I loved their Top 10 Broadway remix. Then the Disney team played a magical/hysterical video. I felt very lucky that Mike took to the kids to this event and was in tears as I watched the last seconds (specifically 4:09)!
Later that day we decided to head into Epcot. There was something special I wanted to do with Eleanor. In Japan they have a pick a pearl and I LOVE pearls so I asked her to do this with me as my gift. Eleanor and I each picked an oyster and watched as she opened them to see what was inside.
We each got a beautiful pearl and I’m glad we did it together. I even gave her a necklace to put the pearl in and I will have mine turned into something special to remind me of the day and trip.
The best and most unplanned part of the day was riding SevenDwarfs Mine Train while Wishes (the firework show) was happening at the Magic Kingdom that night. I was so glad we had Photo Pass to capture our surprise and excitement. It’s moments like this that make me realize I’m right where I should be in life and nothing could be better! A very magical Mother’s day.
I hope everyone had a great day. Moms, Grandparents, Aunties, Sisters, and Friends you are all special and appreciated!
