A trip to Disney means grabbing a Pineapple Dole Whip at some point, but since we don’t get there as often as I would like and summertime means popsicles I decided to make Pineapple Dole Whip Inspired Popsicles!
What’s a Pineapple Dole Whip?
If you’re unfamiliar with this treat it’s found in a few selection locations, at both Disney World and Disneyland you can grab one near the Tiki Room and it’s creamy and yummy and a great way to cool down.
How to make Pineapple Dole Whip Inspired Popsicles
I decided to figure out my own version of these and with the help of my family think we came pretty close. Obviously it’s going to be a bit of a different texture as you’re freezing it, but the end result is delish!
Ingredients:
Pineapple (I used a can crushed pineapple)
Whipping Cream (1 cup)
Lime (1 medium lime)
Sugar (1 tablespoon)
I mixed all of these together in a blender and viola I had my base. I added it to some popsicle molds, which I picked up on Amazon, pops them in the freezer for 4-6 hours and voila had a tasty, cool treat that took me to Disney in my backyard.
This recipe will make 8-16 Popsicles depending on the molds. I also used some of the Pineapple Dole Whip for my Incredibles Inspired Popsicles, which are pretty Incredible.
I love that this gives me a bit of a tropical feel while we sit out and try to keep cool in the heat. It’s also fun to bring a little Disney into your day.
