Summertime means heat and that means finding ways to cool down. Popsicles and movies are a favorite in our family and with Incredibles 2 coming out I thought I would combine them together to make Incredibles Popsicles.
With our favorite superhero family, The Incredibles, back in action I decided to use their supersuits as my inspiration, mixing red, yellow and orange for the Incredibles popsicles. I also wanted to keep this kid friendly so I used fruits that everyone can enjoy! I already had a batch of my Pineapple Dole Whip Popsicles made (coming tomorrow) so I used that for part and whipped up the other parts quick and easy with the help of my superheroes.
How to make Incredibles 2 Popsicles
The steps are simple and you’ll want to make sure you have some popsicle molds. I picked mine up from Amazon, but if you have a Zoku maker these are easy to make there as well.
Pineapple Dole Whip (crushed pineapple, whipping cream, lime & sugar)
Step 1: I cut and clean the strawberries (about 1 cup) and add to a blender then add a ½ cup coconut milk and blend.
Step 2: I fill the bottom (which will be the top) of the popsicle mold
Step 3: Add the Pineapple Dole Whipped Popsicles, and from fresh pineapple slices if you want
Step 4: Add a little orange juice to top it off
Step 5: Pop them in the freezer for 4-6 hours
Step 6: Enjoy while talking about your favorite parts of Incredibles 2!
This will make about 8-10 popsicles depending on your molds.
I found these quick and easy and the fact that the kids wanted to help made them even more fun. Once thing I’ve learned from watching The Incredibles is as a family you have to stick together so making and enjoying a treat is a great way to spend time together.
There’s also the fun of seeing how fast you can finish your Incredibles Inspired Popsicle, would Dash eat his super-fast? Would Violet put a force field around it to keep it from melting quickly, would Elastigirl get distracted and her popsicle be across the room? These are great ways to inspire creativity for the kids and yourself all while enjoying this summer treat.
