We love to show our disneyside so when I was selected to host a party I knew a Cars Birthday Party would make the perfect theme for my sweet boys 3rd Birthday.

Cars Birthday Party

Last year I hosted a DisneySide Doc McStuffins playdate and it was a lot of fun. This year our kit was themed for a preschool boy; specifically Cars. Which was great for me, because not only is it my favorite movie, but Camden is a big Lighting McQueen fan.

My goal for this party was to keep it simple and fun. Since I already had some plates, napkins and and decorations from the kit I just needed to get some inspiration from the Home Celebrations website for food, games and fun.

Since we hosted a morning party we kept the food light, but filling and of course themed. My favorite was “Fruit 66”.

Cars party games

The games were super fun. I made traffic light bean bags and had the kids toss them into baskets. I also printed out some coloring pages and had the kids decorate with stickers. It was kind of funny how quite everyone was for this activity. We also had balloons for the kids to play with. I wanted to play red light/green light, but time got away and the snow on the ground was too much so we skipped this.

The big fun was the Mater Brownie Cake and singing to the birthday boy.

For favors I like to keep it simple. I found Cars Band-Aids and each child got a box. I personally would rather give 1 good item then a bunch of trinkets that parents end of throwing out. Plus as one parent told me it was a real treat since they never buy the special Band-Aids.

Overall it was a great morning celebrating our love of Disney and Camden turning 3.
