It’s no surprise that I’m a Delaware beach girl. I grew up going to the beach each summer, then living and working at them for 7 summers so if there’s one think I know it’s what to do and eat at Bethany Beach, Delaware.
Where to eat in Bethany Beach, DE
Yes, I’m starting out with my favorite pizza in the world. I worked here for 5 summers, and lived off this pizza, but it’s a Delaware tradition and with multiple locations in town you can either sit down and enjoy a meal or grab a slice and head back to the beach. The sauce swirl is their signature, and a nice cold birch beer is a Delaware tradition.
This place is way more than just fries. It’s also seafood at it’s best, and quick. They have window service right on the boardwalk, but if you walk around the Bethany Town Center they also have a small sit down place that has all the menu items and more. I love getting their fried clams platter, and Mike’s a fan of the Lobster Roll. It’s great food and quick service.
When it comes to sweet treats just walking info Candy Kitchen puts a smile on your face. The candy, chocolate, fudge and taffy will have you ready to create your own candy jar.
In Bethany Fischer’s Popcorn is the one to get. Walking into the store you just smell the salt air and caramel corn and that’s a win right there.
If you’re looking for an after dinner treat of ice cream just standing in front of this window will have your mouth watering. Farm Fresh ice creams and lots of choices makes the summer heat melt away.
Kohr Broths Soft Serve
For some people soft service is the only thing to eat so Kohr Borthers is the spot. The challenge is eating it before it can melt.
Things to do in Bethany Beach, DE
In the middle of the town is the Bandstand. Were they have performances, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the season. I’ve been a performer a few times on this stage and love that they keep the arts alive at the beach.
During the season the Bethany Beach Farmers Market is great, with local produce and bread plus some other homemade items. It’s a great way to stock up on yummy foods to eat both at the beach and home. It’s open on Sundays so you can start
In the summer on Thursday nights you can watch a family friendly movie on the beach. They bring out a huge screen, and it’s such a neat way to spend more time on the beach. Don’t forget to bring your chair and a sweatshirt. Nothing beats a family movie with the ocean waves crashing in the background and your feet in the sand.
Bethany Beach Book Store
This store is such a delight. They have lots of selections and are super helpful. I mean who doesn’t love getting lost in a book. They also have The Book Drop where you can get a monthly package. It’s a great place and you’ll love wondering around.
Plus there’s plenty of fun shops where you can get find new games, kites, sand toys, shark teeth, sweatshirts, stickers, art and so much more. Shopping in town is such fun.
