We all know the classic broomsticks from the Disney movie Fantasia. They are also seen in other areas of the park like Mickey’s Philharmagic attraction or in the Flower and Garden show. When we recently hosted our DisneyKids Magical Playdate I knew I needed to have Mickey’s broomsticks, and came up with a fun, easy and edible one.
When feeding kids there’s usually a limit on what they will eat, so I wanted to make sure I used items that they would enjoy and what’s better than a hot dog and crescent rolls together? Kids and adults both love these and I love how fun they were to make!
Mickey’s Edible Broomstick Supplies:
I had the idea for what I wanted it to look like, but as we know sometimes things in your mind don’t work out the way you want. I’m happy to say this did.
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
Step 2: Open the crescent rolls and unroll them. You’ll want to keep 2 together, and then cut it into a square
Step 3: After you cut the square cut a line and make 2 triangles
Step 4: Place one triangle down and put the hot dog in the center then place the other triangle on top.
Step 5: Smoosh together the two
Step 6: Take a knife and add little lines (like the straw of the broom)
Step 7: Place on a silpat on a cookie cookie sheet
Step 8: Bake for 8-10 minuets
It’s quick, easy and will totally have you ready for a magical meal. I found this to be the thing that everyone loved and I added some ketchup, mustard and relish on the side so people could really enjoy.
I also like that they will work for plenty of different party themes, Halloween and Harry Potter come to mind quickly, but I’m sure there are plenty others.
This post is not sponsored, it was just a fun idea I had to share!
