It’s here, it’s here! The Halloween season and the anticipation of Christmas (for me) so I thought it would be fun to make some Nightmare Before Christmas Hats as the weather cools off to show our love for the movie and give you some details for how to see it in the theater!
It seems like the temperature has dropped quickly this year and we’ve pulled out the hats and gloves, but I decided to give our hats a little more personality by making one Jack Skellington hat and one Oogie Boogie hat.
Jack Skellington Hat
The Jack Skellington hat is very easy to make.
White knit hat
Black Iron on Vinyl (I would recommend the sports flex for this)
Jack Skellington image from Cricut Access
Oogie Boogie Hat
I used my Cricut to cut the images (don’t forget to select mirror image) then once they were weeded I added them to the hats with my Cricut EasyPress 2
Since the kids started to wear these they’ve gotten go many compliments, and are excited to wear a hat. When my son wears the Jack Skellington hat he’s also referred to as the Pumpkin King around school.
Combing our love for the movie and staying warm is a big win for me.
