Before the turkey hits the table on Thanksgiving I like to decorate and set the table. This year I thought a new table runner was needed so I made a Gobble Gobble Thanksgiving table runner with my Cricut.
We don’t tend to host Thanksgiving, but I still like to decorate for the holiday. Adding a table runner to my table, buffet or entry console is an easy way to make the home warm and festive. Plus if we do host a Friendsgiving I’m set with a cute table setting.
To start I went right into Cricut Access and used images and text that was already created. A quick search for the things I was looking for, Gobble, turkey and pumpkin and I was set.
For my family we’re always saying Gobble, Gobble, so I wanted to incorporate it into the runner, but wanted both sides of the table to be able to read it, but didn’t want to overdo it, so I make it so each side could read a gobble, add in a little turkey underneath and
Good news I’ve already sized it out and have the whole thing available on Cricut. Gobble, Gobble Table Runner
Thanksgiving Table Runner Supplies:
Table Runner (buy one or make one)
Roll of Iron-on – I used Champagne for this project
12×24 Mat (yes you’ll want the big mat)
Easy Press 2 (12×10)
Easy Press Mat
When it comes to cutting this. I put the big 12×24 mat to use as I wanted the Gobble to be big. (Remember to place the vinyl shiny side down and to click the mirror image button when using Iron-on) I managed to get all of the items on the one sheet of vinyl. Just make sure when you go to cut you move things around to make it all fit.
I was also able to I put my new Easy Press 2 to use on this project and was done in no time because of the size of the press. Just remember you want to flip the runner over and press that side as well.
Overall making this project took very little time, and I adore how it turned out.
