There’s something exciting about a charcuterie plate, and I love one that celebrates a holiday or season. I decided to make a fun Halloween charcuterie board that’s perfect for a spooky movie night or party.
When it comes to a seasonal charcuterie I think in a few ways. One is color, another is shape or design. and lastly do I want it to be sweet, savory or meaty. Halloween makes me think of candy and sweets so I wanted to make a Halloween Candy board.
Halloween Candy Charcuterie
There are lots of different kinds of candy out there, and for this board I went with things that are classic, tasty, and make me think of Halloween. Candy corn, Reese’s pieces, Black Licorice are candies that remind me of the season. Looks for candies that add a little color. These zombie finger pops are green and add a little fun. Think outside of the box, we like to snack on pretzels, and Cheez-its but to add some fun I picked up cheese doodles, marshmallows and some mini donuts. My suggestion is to check out your Dollar Store, as you’re able to get a good variety of items, and not have to buy huge bags of things, keeping the board affordable and diverse. Overall I only spent $10 to make this, and my kids thought they hit the jackpot.
Halloween Charcuterie Board
Don’t be afraid to either throw it down on board or compartmentalize items. I used a small cauldron and cookie cutter to add shape and height, but you can also use cupcake liners, or small ramekins to separate things. It’s whatever you want it to be. I wanted something that was quick to pull together and this one only took a few moments.
